Subbed In is turning 3! Come celebrate this ageing and terrible toddler with a bumper reading event at Freda’s. Subbed In has evolved a fair bit since that first fateful event in a sharehouse kitchen in 2015 and to sing in our 4th year of existence, we’re offering the literary prowess of:
*extremely hacker voice* We’re launching three digital books into the cybersphere! Come join us on the information superhighway as Aisyah Shah Idil (author, The Naming), Allison Gallagher (author, Parenthetical Bodies), and Emily Crocker (author, Girls and Buoyant) read from their respective books of poetry as their work is uploaded to the mainframe.
We’re stoked to be involved in this very special show in Doonside! Come join us for a night of poetry & music with performances by: Treehouses (Perth), Sleeping Døgs, Tijana, Sports Bra, Elk Locker, JZ Ting, Eliza Rite, Zoe Lane, Jason Gray 💥

Donations for the Blacktown Women’s & Girls’ Health Centre will also be collected on the night. They are a not for profit women’s health centre that also supports young mums, victims of domestic abuse, and the homeless. If you have any of the following items lying around your house (that are still in date), or have a bit of spare cash to buy these items, please bring them to the show:
-Canned/tinned goods (no fresh food like fruit and vegetables unless tinned)
-Bags of rice and pasta
-Health and hygiene products (deodorant, baby wipes, female sanitary products, unopened shampoo, conditioner and body wash, no razor blades)
-Clothing (underwear must be brand new with tags, all clothes to be clean and wearable so no holes, dirt or signs of wear and tear)
